Kisnard Online is a free to play, 2D fantasy/medieval pixel art mmorpg!  Kisnard online was inspired by Dransik, Ashen Empire, Runescape, and Ultima Online.  Adventure on quests, explore the huge world, specialize in various tradeskills, slay mythical monsters, team up to fight bosses, interact with many npcs, grow powerful in level and name, loot rare treasures, duel other players in live pvp, and much much more.  Kisnard Online is constantly being improved with new content and features.  All game related info will be posted here and on Discord.  Come join us in game!

Version 0.9.16 patch

New Features

  • SITE: Character level shows on the highest levels leaderboard
  • Equipping weapons/armors without the required level, skill, or stats will display a message about requirement

Gameplay Changes

  • Bat armor reduced to 0 for new players without a weapon
  • King Cobra spawn increased and respawn time shortened
  • Snake spawn increased
  • Gathering tradeskill base loot chance shown instead of ???
  • Bestiary and collection windows show items in lowest to highest level by default

Bug Fixes

  • SITE: Grim, Putrid, and Boss monster variants now show on the wiki map
  • Account already logged in making you wait 10 minutes and possibly slowing server down
  • Could get 1 exp on failure of healing self when you had full health
  • Sell price show inconsistently on wiki and game sell window
  • Added server side check to ensure only able to move from next to player on ground
  • Daily quest current streak resets to 0 upon login (if did not complete one in past 2 days)
  • Daily quest streak logic fixes
  • Fixed bug of cleaning a looted item
  • Exp buffs applied to healing tradeskills

New Features

  • Map loading more efficently – loads chunks in separate files
  • New trades shops – some NPCs barter with items as currency rather than just gold
  • New alchemy items and recipes

Gameplay Changes

  • Adjusted daily quests monster lvl to be within 7 levels of your level (instead of within 20)
  • Some exp given when you fail at smelting/milling
  • Drop rate adjustments and quest rewards adjustments
  • Tailoring switched to intelligence based and carpentry switched to dexterity based
  • Elemental skill level will decrease the amount of elemental damage you take
  • Increased quantity of gold/allegiance/exp given on daily quests
  • Show all loot on tile when ctrl clicking on ground
  • Drastically increased drop rate of Sand

Bug Fixes

  • If spell caster/delayed action leaves game abrubtly, spell/action will be cancelled (and not crash server) – thanks Puppy/VoodooKingHades
  • Heal spell casted on another player was using the castee’s buff amounts – thanks VoodooKingHades
  • Damage increase for arrow or bolt only applies when wearing a bow or crossbow – thanks VoodooKingHades
  • Fixed server shutdown messages (will now display every 15 seconds as intended)
  • Fixed many quest text issues/typos
  • Collections window froze when you had items to turn in – thanks VoodooKingHades
  • Trades did not get canceled gracefully server side and could spam the person cancel messages – thanks FrostAvenger
  • Would not let you friend people sometimes – thanks PierreCHT
  • Adding or removing friends did not automatically update the friend list
  • Adding a friend who was offline alerted them next time they logged in, from your perspective instead of theirs

Android app progress

I am making awesome progress on the Android app for Kisnard Online.

I have completed all of the GUI elements on the screen, the backpack/bank/character/skills windows, sounds and music, animations, hit information/chat information, and much more. I still need to create a chat screen to send and a bunch of the game windows (i.e. guild, bestiary, collections, etc.). At this point, I think I just have the various in-game windows left to do – which is admittedly a large undertaking.
