Kisnard Online is a free to play, 2D fantasy/medieval pixel art mmorpg!  Kisnard online was inspired by Dransik, Ashen Empire, Runescape, and Ultima Online.  Adventure on quests, explore the huge world, specialize in various tradeskills, slay mythical monsters, team up to fight bosses, interact with many npcs, grow powerful in level and name, loot rare treasures, duel other players in live pvp, and much much more.  Kisnard Online is constantly being improved with new content and features.  All game related info will be posted here and on Discord.  Come join us in game!

Trade Window


I have been working on a trade window now that the rivals window is completed. The idea is to keep the trade window as simple as it can be. The programming rules behind this window should be pretty complex to ensure there is no item duplication or anything game breaking like that. I have played many games that have been ruined by item duplication exploits. I will take my time to ensure that the trade system that I code is bug free.

I really want to get this new update, version 0.9.9 live, but am being too ambitious for this version. That will be a good thing in the long run though. Please stay tuned and thanks for sticking with us!

Rivals Window


I really want to get a trading system into the game so I started to work on the rivals window. When you control click on a player the rivals window will open up and you can see what they are wearing and some basic details about them. You will also be able to initiate trades from this window too – and eventually other stuff as well. Secure trades help players not have to drop weapons/armors/items on the ground and run across the map at each other. The drop and run method presents many opportunities for scams.

Our artist, Cecilia, has been working on lots of new stuff. Our composer, Tanaka, has been working on tons of new music. Lastly, I have been working on more artwork for tier 5 weapons and more game content in general.


Lighting and Collections


I have been working on a lighting/shadow system. Some of you may have seen the .gif I shared on facebook(below).

I wanted to share a scaled down screenshot so you could see what is to come (collections/bestiary/day-night cycles/etc.). The lighting system really makes a difference of night and day – no pun intended.

The collections will be another bragging right and will also show up on the wiki site when searching for a player. You can turn in any weapons/armor/items that you find. Once you turn it in it shows up in your collection – but will be gone from your backpack forever. This is for all of the hardcore collectors out there. The collections system will also be tracked on the site leaderboards.

I will keep working away and hopefully push this large update (0.9.9) soon. Our new composer, Tanaka Mutaviri, has been creating music for the game. His work is amazing!!

p.s. I also have seemed to fix the server crashing due to the website getting too much action. Tweaked some of the Apache web-server settings. I guess I cannot complain about getting too much traffic to the site. That is the purpose of the Google Ads!
